The Main Club & Crestmont Club follow the MCCSC Schedule:
-If school is canceled for any reason, then the Clubs are also closed.
-If students are released early due to inclement weather, the Clubs will be closed and will not pick up members at schools.
The Ellettsville Club follows the RBBSC schedule:
-If school is canceled for any reason, the Ellettsville club is also closed.
-If students are released early due to inclement weather, the Club will also be closed and will not pick up members at schools.
Club closing information is also posted on local radio (WGCL, B-97, Hoosier Country 105) and news stations.
In case of inclement and/or severe weather during operating hours, the Club will observe the following procedures:
Tornadoes The Club will listen to a weather scanner for details regarding severe weather. When the sirens sound, all members on Club property must move to the nearest “safe-zone” located within the Club. Safe-zones are illustrated within the tornado drill procedure/map. Severe weather plans are posted on exit walls of each Club room. We ask that parents/guardians do not call the Club in the situation of a tornado. Phone lines need to remain open for emergencies. Members will be released only when an “all clear” signal has been given by weather authorities and/or executive director. Members may be released to those authorized for pick-up during severe weather.
Rain & Thunder Members may not be outside during rain or thunderstorms. If lightning is spotted, all must come inside or seek shelter if away from Club facilities. Outdoor activities will be suspended for a total of 30 minutes following the last visible lightning strike.
Extreme Cold Members may be outside with adequate clothing at 35 degrees or higher. If below 35 degrees, all activities will take place in the Club.
Snow Activities may be conducted in the snow, but only those members wearing proper clothing may participate.
Extreme Heat The Club will permit members to be outside in extreme heat. Members will be monitored for possible heat related conditions and will be required to drink plenty of water. In weather over 95 degrees, members may only stay outside for a limited time.
